The Hypercom ICE 5700 Credit Card Machine combines check reading and credit card processing into one easy-to-use, space-saving POS terminal. The Hypercom ICE 5700 credit card terminal check reader combo magnetically reads the MICR line at the bottom of checks, which increases the speed and accuracy of transactions. The Hypercom ICE 5700 credit card machine supports dial-up to multiple check processors to verify checks against negative files or check guarantees using positive on-line authorizations. Check truncation can also be supported as an option on the Hypercom ICE 5700 credit card machine, converting expensive paper-based processes into cost-saving electronic transactions.

The Hypercom ICE 5700 has a very high success rate of reading checks, even if they are damaged. As a full-function, Web-enabled terminal, the Hypercom ICE 5700 credit card machine delivers all the capabilities of the Hypercom ICE 5500 credit card machine.  As a credit card terminal, the Hypercom ICE 5700 is an affordable, easy-to-use Internet-enabled point-of-sale (POS) credit card terminal that supports existing merchant account payment methods while offering innovative merchant service features such as electronic receipt capture (ERC), in-store promotions and customer loyalty programs. Specifically designed to help merchants as a single, integrated credit card processing unit, the Hypercom ICE 5700 credit card machine point of sale POS terminal brings touch-screen graphic display technology to the countertop, permitting customized advertising and couponing directly to the customer at the point of sale. With a fast transmission speed of 9600 bps, the Hypercom ICE 5700’s Fast POS modem provides the merchant with the fastest dial-up capability in the credit card processing and merchant services industry, significantly lowering transaction costs.

The Hypercom ICE 5700 can be used to accept credit cards through retail merchant accounts but also has a keypad enabling the merchant to manually key in credit card numbers to perform credit card processing for mail order merchant accounts, phone order merchant accounts, internet merchant accounts or e-commerce merchant accounts. In addition, the merchant account application software that currently runs in the Hypercom ICE 5700 credit card terminal is backward compatible with the Hypercom ICE 5000 credit card machine software, reducing certification time. The Hypercom ICE 5700 credit card machine combines the flexibility of a full-featured POS terminal with the infrastructure to quickly and cost effectively integrate new merchant account applications. This combination makes the Hypercom ICE 5700 credit card terminal point-of-sale (POS) system the simplest and most innovative POS solution available in today’s credit card processing and merchant services industry.
